The Best Non-Wedding Wedding Ever | Grand Rapids, MI

Katy and Joel march to the beat of their own drum, and it’s the best damn beat around. The floral design direction for this event came from the wonderful Katie with Kenley Event Design who was the mastermind behind the overall event designer.  Together she and Damsel Floral collaborated on the aesthetic with the desire to complement the the couple’s eclectic and original taste, and still unite that taste with some traditional wedding sensibilities. If anyone has seen the ‘Portlandia’ episode where the couple plans their wedding, yeah, that was video reference was made by the bride in the consultation and we knew immediately that we wanted to work with them.

The floral installation was a mix of Kenley Event’s additions (Head Table, head table backdrop, cake backdrop, foliage on the table, succulents) and Damsel Floral (centerpieces, wedding party flowers, cocktail tables)
